The genesis of the artwork
Reflejos de Colores is a contemporary work of 151 x 104 cm, painted in acrylic on canvas, in which Elvira Lopez delicately explores the play of light and matter inspired by the Mediterranean coastline.
In this composition dominated by shades of turquoise green, the artist sensitively transcribes the reflections of the port of Alicante seen from the sea. The vertical lines, fragmented and vibrant, evoke urban silhouettes dissolving into the water, creating a subtle dialogue between architecture and liquid movement.
The layering of textures and pictorial strata brings depth and rhythm to the whole.
