Jean Gabin Biography
Born on 17 May 1904 in Paris, Jean Gabin became one of the most iconic actors in the history of French cinema.
In the 1930s, he was the tragic hero of poetic realism, in Port of Shadows, Grand Illusion and Pépé le Moko. After the war, he reinvented himself as a boss and a patriarch, from The Sicilian Clan to Le Cave se rebiffe, imposing a streetwise swagger and a natural authority all his own. With a gravelly voice and a piercing gaze, he ran through every genre.
A giant of cinema and one of the most beloved actors in France, he remains a benchmark to this day. Our framed Fine Art photo prints celebrate this legend: portraits and iconic scenes, in black and white, for a living room, an office or a home cinema.

Which Jean Gabin films and portraits do you offer as framed prints?
Our collection celebrates the giant of French cinema. You'll find Port of Shadows (1938), Grand Illusion, Pépé le Moko and The Sicilian Clan. The most sought-after prints are Gabin as a tough guy, as a boss, and his black and white portraits — each a numbered limited edition, for a living room, an office or a home cinema.
Are the Jean Gabin photos available in black and white?
Yes. Most of our Jean Gabin prints are offered in black and white — a look that beautifully brings out his streetwise swagger and his authority, true to the poetic realism of the 1930s.
