Born on 9 June 1981 in Jerusalem, Natalie Portman broke through as a child in Léon (1994) before becoming an Oscar-winning actress.
She played Queen, then Senator, Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy in the late 1990s, while pursuing acting and studies at Harvard at the same time. Her role as a dancer on the brink of madness in Black Swan (2010) earned her the Oscar for Best Actress. From V for Vendetta to Jackie, she has taken on one memorable role after another.
