Carrie Fisher Biography
Born on 21 October 1956 in Beverly Hills, daughter of stars Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, Carrie Fisher became a legend at just 19.
By playing Princess Leia Organa in Star Wars (1977), she gave the saga a strong-willed heroine, a rebel leader full of humour. She carried through the whole original trilogy — The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and its golden bikini — and left a lasting mark on popular culture, before reprising the role of General Leia in the new trilogy.
