Lewis Gilbert was directing what was then the most ambitious Bond film to date, with a record budget of $34 million. This image captures Moore’s sophisticated elegance in his fourth Bond film.
Moonraker grossed $210 million at the global box office, becoming the highest-grossing Bond film to date. Lewis Gilbert directed the film, featuring Ken Adam’s spectacular sets, while Lois Chiles played astronaut Holly Goodhead.
