About this photo

Eva Green as Vesper Lynd in *Casino*

Filmed in the gilded halls of the Monte Carlo Casino, this iconic scene from *Casino Royale* (2006) marks the triumphant return of James Bond to the big screen after a four-year hiatus. Martin Campbell, director of GoldenEye, directed Eva Green in the role of Vesper Lynd, which redefined the archetype of the Bond Girl. The French actress wore a custom-made Versace dress worth 80,000 euros for this legendary poker sequence, filmed in the actual private salons of the Monegasque casino.

Casino Royale grossed $594 million at the global box office, spectacularly reviving the franchise. Eva Green won the Empire Award for Best Newcomer for her portrayal of Vesper, a character created by Ian Fleming in 1953. She Daniel Craig developed such intense chemistry that producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson confirmed that their romantic relationship would influence all subsequent films in the Craig era.

Bring the fatal charm of the most complex Bond girl into your home.
