« The Mediterranean in layers of color and emotion »
Noelia Correa is a Spanish contemporary artist with a degree in Fine Arts, who has been based in Alicante for over twenty years. Nature and the proximity of the Mediterranean inspire her abstract mixed-media paintings, in which she seeks to capture emotion through light, shadow, texture, and color.
She primarily works with acrylics, for the freedom of an energetic gesture and the speed of layering, combining brushes, spatulas, sponges, and collage — threads, fabrics, papers, thin bamboo sticks — to create unique textures. Her blurred and transparent horizon lines reflect a continuous dialogue with the canvas. Represented by Starck Gallery in Elche, she is fully integrated into the Costa Blanca art scene.
