Brigitte Bardot - Viva Maria! 1965
Viva Maria! (1965) — Brigitte Bardot
The artwork. Adventurous and dazzling, Brigitte Bardot poses in the colourful world of Louis Malle's film. The costume, the Mexican setting, the energy: the image of a star having fun and embracing a role full of panache.
Read the story of the artwork
The film. Directed by Louis Malle in 1965, Viva Maria! brings together for the first time Brigitte Bardot and Jeanne Moreau, two Marias swept up in a Central American revolution. Shot in Mexico, this zany, ahead-of-its-time feminist western gives Bardot a delightfully adventurous role, far from her sulphurous characters.
For your home. An image full of life for a living room, office or adventurous interior, to give to film buffs. Continue with the Brigitte Bardot collection and the Stars & Cinema universe.
