The Rocky saga

Born in 1976 from a screenplay by Sylvester Stallone, who also plays its hero, the Rocky saga charts the rise of a modest Philadelphia boxer, Rocky Balboa. Six films — from Rocky (1976) to Rocky Balboa (2006) — trace his fights against Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), Clubber Lang (Mr. T) and Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren), with Adrian and his trainer Mickey by his side. The run up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the famous training scenes have become universal symbols of pushing beyond one's limits. Explore our Stars & Cinema.

About Rocky

Released in 1976, Rocky was born from the screenplay of a then-unknown Sylvester Stallone, who insisted on playing the title role — a gamble that produced one of the most iconic sagas in American cinema.

Six films trace the journey of Rocky Balboa, from Rocky (1976) to Rocky Balboa (2006), through the legendary showdowns with Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago. The first instalment won the Academy Award for Best Picture and turned a Philadelphia underdog into a legend.

But the image that endures through the decades remains Rocky climbing the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, fists raised at dawn — one of the most reproduced shots in sports cinema. Our framed Fine Art photo prints celebrate these mythical moments, in black and white or, for some, in colour, for a living room, an office or a home cinema.

Frequently asked questions

Which Rocky films and characters do you offer as framed prints?

Our Rocky collection covers the most sought-after moments of the saga, from Rocky (1976) to Rocky Balboa (2006). You will find Sylvester Stallone as the Philadelphia boxer, the mythical run up the museum steps, the early-morning training, as well as the great rivals turned cult figures: Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago. Each print is offered as a numbered limited edition on Fine Art photo paper. Ideal for a living room, an office, a gym or a home cinema, it recreates the energy and the spirit of self-transcendence that made the saga legendary.

Are the Rocky photos available in black and white?

Yes. Most of our Rocky prints are offered in black and white — a finish that heightens the intensity of the fights, the sweat of the training and the strength of the portraits. Some images are also available in colour, notably iconic scenes such as the climb up the steps at daybreak. Each print is produced on Fine Art photo paper and hand-framed in solid wood in our in-house workshop, with a black or white mat of your choice. Black and white remains the most requested by collectors for a smart, timeless display, but colour appeals to fans of the most recognisable scenes.

Are these Rocky prints authentic, and in which formats?

Each Rocky print is a traceable collector's piece, not a mere reproduction. Produced as a numbered limited edition on Fine Art photo paper, it comes with its certificate of authenticity (COA), a hologram and a traceability QR code that guarantee its origin. Two formats to choose from: 70×50 cm (Starck Original) or 60×40 cm (Starck Medium), hand-framed in solid wood in our in-house workshop, black or white mat. Everything arrives ready to hang and carefully packed — the standards of an art gallery applied to every order, so your Rocky photo stands the test of time.

Does a Rocky print make a great gift, and do you deliver across Europe?

Yes, it is one of our most popular gifts. A framed Rocky print — the run up the steps, a portrait of Sylvester Stallone or a legendary fight — delights lovers of boxing, sport and 1970s-1980s cinema, and makes an ideal present for a gym, an office or a birthday. The work arrives framed, numbered and ready to hang, with its certificate of authenticity: a gift as motivating as it is instantly presentable. We ship tracked and insured across the whole of Europe, in reinforced packaging that protects the frame and the glass.
