About this photo
Alain Delon and Marianne Faithfull in *The Girl on a Motorcycle* - Filmed in Germany and France
Filmed in Germany and France in 1968, "The Girl on a Motorcycle" stars Alain Delon and Marianne Faithfull under the direction of Jack Cardiff. This Franco-British production marks Alain Delon's first foray into an erotic film, in which he plays Daniel, the passionate lover of Rebecca (Faithfull). Filming took place primarily on the winding roads of the Black Forest, creating a sensual and mysterious atmosphere.
Despite a mixed critical reception, the film achieved cult status thanks to the hypnotic beauty of its two stars and its iconic motorcycle scenes. For Alain Delon, then at the height of his fame following "Le Samouraï" (1967), this role cemented his status as an international icon. Marianne Faithfull, Mick Jagger’s girlfriend at the time, brought a rock-and-roll sensuality that captivated European audiences.
This fine art print is hand-framed in our studios and limited to just 30 copies. Printed on fine art paper in a 70x50 cm format, it is enhanced by a solid wood frame and 3mm crystal glass. Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity featuring a hologram and is shipped within 48 hours.
