About this photo
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - The Ultimate Adventure in the Peruvian Jungle
Filmed largely at Yale Studios and in the forests of Connecticut to recreate the Peruvian jungle, this fourth Indiana Jones film marks Steven Spielberg’s return behind the camera after a 19-year hiatus. George Lucas had initially envisioned a plot involving flying saucers as early as 1993, but the project was delayed until Harrison Ford finally Harrison Ford to reprise the role at age 65.
Despite mixed reviews, the film grossed $790 million at the global box office, becoming the franchise’s biggest hit. Cate Blanchett delivers a memorable performance as the Soviet Colonel, while Shia LaBeouf plays Mutt Williams. This adventure brings the golden age of the archaeologist hero to a close by introducing the mysteries of the atomic age and the Cold War into the Indy universe.
Adventure knows no age when it bears the name Indiana Jones.
