About this photo

They Call Me Trinity - The iconic duo Bud Spencer & Terence Hill in the Laramie saloon

Filmed in the arid landscapes of Andalusia under the direction of Enzo Barboni, "They Call Me Trinity" revolutionized the spaghetti western in 1970. This iconic saloon scene captures the perfect chemistry between Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, who play Bambino and Trinity, respectively, in what would become their most iconic film.

A true global phenomenon with over 12 million admissions in Italy, the film catapulted the duo to the status of legends of popular cinema. Franco Nero was initially considered for the role of Trinity, but it was ultimately Mario Girotti (Terence Hill) who landed the part alongside Carlo Pedersoli (Bud Spencer), creating an on-screen chemistry that would endure for decades.

A heartfelt tribute to the golden age of Italian comedy westerns and to the legendary friendship between two giants of cinema.
