Produced by Jack Schwartzman and directed by Irvin Kershner, this independent film emerged from a complex legal battle over the rights to Ian Fleming's novel "Thunderball."
With a budget of $36 million, the film grossed $160 million at the global box office, proving the public’s attachment to Connery in this iconic role. Facing off against Roger Moore, who was then the official Bond, the 53-year-old Connery delivers a mature and charismatic performance alongside Kim Basinger and Klaus Maria Brandauer.
